TIPS for how to PACK LIKE A PRO

Use this checklist to make the process of moving easy breezy!

*Make a master TO DO list to ensure you don't forget something

*Get rid of things you no longer want or need

*Pack like items together

*Family photos, valuable breakables, or must-haves during the move should probably stay with you. Decide ahead of time what you plan to move yourself

*Prevent breakage by avoiding loose items & by using the right box for the item

*Put heavier items into smaller boxes so they are easier to lift. Do not over-pack boxes since this increases the likelihood of breakage

*Wrap fragile items separately in bubble-wrap or newspaper, & be sure to pad the insides of boxes

*Label all boxes on all sides, since you never know how they will be stacked

*Colour code box labels to indicate the room each box should go in

*Keep all moving documents together, including phone numbers, driver's name, & van number

*Back up your computer files before moving your computer

*Inspect each box and all furniture for damage as soon as it arrives
